       Penny developed a fascination with the art of throwing pots at quite an early age having seen demonstrations at a craft fair and in a potter's workshop and throwing still remains her favourite skill. She started at Adult Education classes in Surrey but did not study seriously until moving to New Milton five years ago.
1995 - 1997    City and Guilds Ceramic Skills - Part I at New Milton Adult Education and later at Brockenhurst College. 
1997 - 2000    City and Guilds Advanced Ceramic Skills - Part II at Brockenhurst College.
Penny has done several classes for children at the Priory, Sway, and in her workshop at home but this is her first Exhibition.  In September she will be doing a City and Guilds class to learn to teach adults and would like to help with a disabled or special needs class.  At the moment she is building on the skills learned for the exams and establishing a working pottery at home.
