This picture was produced as part of the celebration of the centenary year of the New Forest Commoners Defence Association. It was sold by auction at the 2009 New Forest Show, with all proceeds to the CDA.

The watercolour depicts a drift scene on South Weirs, Brockenhurst and is surrounded by pencil sketches; showing the Verderers Court, overseeing the whole scene, agisters of the past and modern day faces involved in and working within the commoning community and most importantly, their stock.
